An AFL Grand Final sits between a massive Group 1 on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.

The Valley comes alive with the Moir Stakes over 1000m with a million bucks on the line. On Sunday, we see some of the best horses in the land clash in the 1800m Underwood Stakes. Zaaki, I'm Thunderstruck, Alligator Blood and Mr Brightside... say no more.

In Sydney, the Golden Rose shapes up as a beauty with Godolphin having a powerful hand in yet another major race.

The weekend is largely dominated by the AFL but Friday night erupts with Group 1 racing @ The Valley as well as Group 1 racing on Sunday in Melbourne. Throw in a Golden Rose and the Swans/Cats clash has some company.
