Aside from a Sydney 'delay', this weekend we'll see the newest and best hour of racing of the entire spring.

4:15pm sees the sprint slot race with fifteen million up for grabs and one hour later we see a $5 million mile-and-a-half clash with some less than recognisable horses looking for their slice of history at The Heath.

It's an exceptional hour of racing and drama for spectators and couch potatoes.

Sure, I can acknowledge the rivalry between the governing bodies but from a spectator's point of view - or a racing participants - it's a thing of beauty.
